Slugs & Snails began on a blustery hill in the wild West of Ireland, when one small family discovered just how practical tights were for their little boy. Inspired, they set out to create fun, organic tights designed for every child—big or small.

After three years of development, the brand proudly launched in 2011 as the very first company dedicated to unisex tights for kids. Since then, Slugs & Snails has grown into an internationally recognized, award-winning, and eco-friendly children’s wear brand.

Known for their quirky, gender-neutral designs, Slugs & Snails tights are made to last—season after season—offering both great value and a refreshing alternative to disposable kidswear.

But the brand isn’t just about bold designs; quality and comfort are at its core. Each pair is crafted from luxurious organic cotton that is soft, flexible, and incredibly durable. Because it’s minimally processed, organic cotton retains its natural softness while standing up to everyday wear.

Slugs & Snails uses only Oeko-Tex® 100 certified yarns and GOTS-certified organic cotton, and has now introduced recycled polyester into patterned tights—achieving a high eco rating while ensuring products are free from harmful substances. This means healthier clothing for children and a safer planet for all.

Production takes place in carefully regulated facilities that are regularly audited to meet strict standards for safety, fair working conditions, and environmental responsibility.
