We offer Shipping with Canada Post, Purolator and UPS.
Our online shop is based in Mississauga, Ontario,Canada.
Canadian Shipping:
The delivery standard for Regular mail sent within Canada is 2-7 Business days.
The delivery standard for Expedited Shipping within Canada is 1-7 Business days.
Every package includes automatic $100 liability coverage, a guaranteed delivery time, and a tracking number.
Free shipping om orders $80 CAD and over(before tax, after discounts, promotios and points redemption).
United States:
We have started shipping to the United States via Canada Post/USPS.
Duties & Taxes:
We collect estimated duties and taxes at checkout to help minimize unexpected charges upon delivery. The amount shown is calculated based on the item’s country of origin, product classification, and current US import regulations.
Duty rates vary by product and country of origin. While some items may have lower duty rates, certain countries of manufacture and clothing categories can have higher applicable duties. The final amount is calculated automatically at checkout through our shipping provider (Canada Post/USPS)
Vara Barn ships using a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) service to the U.S, meaning applicable duties and taxes are collected at checkout and paid on your behalf to help ensure a smoother delivery experience. In most cases, there should be no additional customs charges due upon delivery.
Please note that import regulations and duty rates are set by US customs authorities and are outside of Vara Barn’s control.
**Please note that any duties, taxes, or import fees paid to US customs on your behalf cannot be refunded by Vara Barn, as these charges are paid directly to customs authorities and are not received by us.
If a parcel is refused, unclaimed, or unable to be delivered and is returned to us, Vara Barn is not responsible for recovering or refunding any duties, taxes, customs fees, or additional charges associated with the shipment.
Customs clearance: Canada Post may charge a small customs clearance fee(typically CAD 9.95) upon delivery. This is a Canada Post administration fee and is separate from the duties collected at check out ( We have sent several parcel across the. border and have not seen any of this fee)
Product Availability: Some products may not be available for shipping to the United States due to import restrictions.
Shipping Rates Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order via Canada Post carrier rates. Orders over $175 CAD qualify for free shipping.
Delivery Times
- Standard (Tracked Packet USA): 6–10 business days
- Expedited Parcel USA: 4–7 business days
All shipments are tracked.
Worldwide Shipping:
We use Canada Post for international shipping.
- Tracked Packet International: 14 business days. Tracking and insurance coverage up to $100.
- Xpresspost International: 4–7 business days. Tracking and insurance coverage up to $100.
Duties & taxes:
Any applicable duties, taxes, or import fees are the responsibility of the customer.
Please note you may be charged local taxes (VAT) when your order arrives if ordering from outside of Canada. Vara Barn is not responsible for any additional duties charged.
Please note all shipping options might not be available in your area.
International orders require a phone number to ensure successful delivery.
Shipping to the European Union
Due to new EU requirements regarding packaging and packaging waste (PPWR), businesses shipping directly to customers in the EU are subject to additional packaging registration, reporting, fees and other compliance requirements.
As a small Canadian business, the administrative requirements associated with shipping individual orders to the EU are unfortunately not sustainable for the volume of EU orders we receive.
For this reason, we currently do not ship orders to countries within the European Union.
General Information
Orders are typically shipped within 1–2 business days after being placed. All shipping times are estimates and we cannot take responsibility for delays with the shipping carrier.
Please ensure your address is correct at checkout. Once a parcel has been shipped we cannot alter the shipping address. Customers are responsible for return shipping fees if a parcel is undeliverable due to an incorrect address.
If your parcel has not been delivered despite receiving a delivery notification, please contact us at info@varabarn.ca. We will initiate an investigation with the carrier.
Vara Barn is not responsible for parcels confirmed as delivered by the carrier. We recommend choosing a secure delivery location or alternate pickup option if available.
We offer local pickup, let us know and we will have your order ready (weekends excluded).
